Hello! My name is Van Huynh and I'm a designer and illustrator.
A Little bit about me:
I’ve lived in Texas all my life and can’t remember a time where I didn’t love to draw. I graduated with a degree in Communication Design at the University of North Texas in 2008 and joined a cool studio in Dallas where I worked on advertising and branding solutions for 4 years with companies like Wingstop and Love Field Airport. In 2014 I decided to switch gears and pursue more illustration focused projects and went into product design for a scrapbook and crafting company.
During my free time I like to work on my illustrations and personal art projects. My favorite traditional mediums are watercolor, ink and gouache, however, most of my recent work and commissions have been digital illustration. My other passions include patterns and typography. Eventually I hope to pursue more work in the surface design and art licensing industry.
I currently live in Dallas with my boyfriend Michael and my two adorable and mischievous tabby cats, Yuki and Niko.
